Our journey traces its origins back to 1980 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Alongside my father, José Silva, I co-founded Tacones Sika, specializing in crafting heels, wedges, and platforms for women’s footwear. This venture not only flourished but also evolved significantly over time.

In 1995, we pivoted our focus towards manufacturing aluminum kitchenware-related products, including knobs for lids and handles for pans. However, the early 2000s brought substantial economic challenges, particularly following the tragic events of the 9/11 attacks in 2001, which reverberated across the global economy, impacting our business in Mexico.

Seeking new horizons, I made a pivotal decision in 2003 to relocate to the United States. For over 13 years, I immersed myself in various plastic factories, accumulating invaluable expertise along the way. This profound experience, coupled with my background, instilled in me the confidence to embark on a new venture. Thus, in 2016, Siga Plastics emerged—a testament to years of learning and an unwavering passion for the plastic industry.
